Tell us about “Arikara”..

‘Arikara’ this track was my first success in this genre of music, after working on this for a few months I felt like it needed a lot more energy and power. That is when I sent it to a number of upcoming producers to get their thoughts on this production, I received tons of amazing feedback and help, however it was dcB who saw something in this track and asked if we could work on a edit of it.The final product was outstanding I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. This is a very minimal but powerful track with its hard hitting drop and its energetic break. It has a somewhat Tribal and ethnic feel to it, which just gets you wanting to jump and is such an easy and amazing transition for DJ’s To play in their mix’s.

What Inspired you to make this song?

What inspired me, The inspiration behind Arikara has to be Will K.I have followed his music for ages now and watching his tutorials on YouTube. It was these tutorials that shown me how much you can do with percussion and how effective it can be to make a simple pattern into a hard drop. This drop was this first part of the song and then I just added everything around the drop.Again though this track would not be as it is now without the dcB’s help.

How did you begin producing electronic dance music?

I started Producing EDM about 3-4 years ago at the age of 15. This all started from just listening to EDM really. I have always loved dance music and I always wanted to try it for myself, so I started watching tutorials on YouTube and downloading remakes of songs to see what was involved in the tracks, getting inspiration from these and also learning how to master songs.

Do you have a favorite VST plugin or instrument to use?

I do not really have a favourite VST as I use about 5 different VST’s in each track maybe even more!If i do have to choose, it would most probably be Nexus or Serum as i feel like their banks are incredible and the interface is so easy and user friendly , this makes it so easy to create your own sound. I love nexus as i love pianos and classic violins and orchestral sounds and this plugin has the most amazing range for these type of sounds.

What can we expect from you in 2017?

In 2017 I hope to be releasing a lot of new music. I have tons of completed tracks ready to start sending off to labels and a few I am going to release as free downloads on my Soundcloud page so just make sure to keep an eye out.I also have a few upcoming collaborations to start and to finish so these should be out sometime this year. As well as all these releases I hope to be Playing gigs and doing some guest mixes for radio shows and podcasts, I already have a few lined up so hopefully more will come up for me to get the opportunity to do more!
