Drake & Avicii Confirmed to Play Australia's Future Music Fest

Drake will be heading to Australia the beginning 2015 to headline the traveling EDM festival, ‘Future Music Festival’ – and according to posters Drake has something else to announce for his Australian fans.

On Smith Street in Melbourne, Australia a fan spotted a Drake tour advertisment poster with a website that hosts a count-down clock ending at 8am Monday morning, Surely this is a side show announcement, Right?

Drake has already announced a sideshow in New Zealand at the Vector Arena in Auckland on February 23 2015.

Drake will playing Future Music Festival shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane in March. He’ll be joined on the EDM festival by Swedish progressive house producer Avicii, The Prodigy and Die Antwoord.

Future Music Festival began in 2006 as a one day independent festival at Sydney’s Royal Randwick Racecourse. In 2007 it evolved into a massive travelling EDM festival like the Big Day Out and Soundwave which visited Brisbane, Perth, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.
