Earlier this week Jim Carrey gave an interesting celestial interview to an E Reporter at the New York Fashion Week.
When asked some questions by Catt Sadler Jim Cary begins to circle around her and says “There is no me” and “There are just things happening and there are clusters of tetrahedrons moving around together.”
Jim Carrey is now at the Toronto International Film Festival promoting the Netflix documentary Jim & Andy: The Great Beyond—The Story of Jim Carrey & Andy Kaufman Featuring a Very Special, Contractually Obligated Mention of Tony Clifton
(yes that is the full title)
During the interview, Carrey engaged in normal antics that you’d expect of his personality, like moving his chair out of the group to “be a voyeur” on a question while then proceeding to shout “liar” while Gabai was answering it.
Similar behavior was seen in an interview during Fashion Week (the video above) at a Bazaar Icons Party in which he described the event as “the most meaningless event I could come to” and gave some funny/bizarre answers during an interview with E! News interview with Catt Sadler.
We’re a bunch of ideas cobbled together to look like a form. There’s a body and there’s a mind, but the body is part of the field of consciousness, just dancing for itself and it’s no different than a plant or a chair or your phone—it’s all one thing. Because we are sentient, there’s a consciousness, and we have to deal with this thing we create, like a fortress of ideas around it. So we say, ‘This is my name and this is my heritage and this is my nationality and here’s my hockey team and these are all of the things that I am.’ That’s the mistake.
