SFX Entertainment is an American EDM conglomerate founded by media entrepreneur Robert F. X. Sillerman.

Now filing for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy, and selling off many of it’s assets such as Beatport, The future of SFX Entertainment is shaky.

Formed in June 2012 the company focuses on EDM Festivals and monetizing the electronic dance music (EDM) industry. SFX Entertainment holdings include ownership of many major EDM  EDM festivals like:

  • Mysteryland
  • Beatport
  • Disco Donnie Presents
  • Sensation
  • Electric Zoo
  • Stereosonic
  • Voodoo Experience
  • Life in Color
  • Rock in Rio
  • Nature One

  • Decibel
  • Q-Dance
  • React Presents
  • Flavorus (Ticket Purchasing)
  • Many nightclubs in the Miami area,
  • Life in Color, and several music oriented web development firms.

SFX Entertainment went public on the NASDAQ in October 2013.

MasterCard will simplify everything for SFX by being a technology partner to help the way hundreds of millions of electronic dance music (EDM) fans worldwide can access SFX events, and engage with digital content.

As part of the agreement, SFX will be able to enjoy MasterCard’s innovative technologies with digital and physical platforms including retail ticketing, live events, social networking, and most importantely pioneering a new model for music advertising
