The sinking ship Tidal seems to just have received yet another devastating blow, this time arriving with a hefty $50 million price tag.

The lawsuit is the result of a Lil Wayne album that was released on Tidal. Lil Wayne has been in conflict with his label Cash Money for sometime now. Lil Wayne recently gave Tidal the exclusive release of his album FWA (Free Weezy Album) Except theres one dilemma, Cash Money still claims to have the rapper signed on their label.

Tidal says the move was legal, since Lil Wayne’s contract was not exclusive.

Cash Money argues that the rapper never had the power to license because of his contract with Cash Money.

Cash Money referred to Tidal’s move on releasing Lil Waynes FAW album as a “desperate and illegal attempt to save their struggling streaming service.”
