Los Angeles, CA – July 2025 – Live Nation Entertainment, the world’s leading live entertainment company, has announced an ambitious $1.5 billion investment to modernize and expand music venues across the United States, significantly expanding its initial $1 billion pledge from June 2025.
Live Nation says it has more optimism about the live entertainment industry than ever before, driven by long-overdue ticketing reforms, growing fan demand, and a strong economy. The company has voiced its full support for President Trump’s executive order targeting ticket scalpers—aimed at reducing the $10 billion siphoned from consumers each year.
“Our mission is simple: help artists deliver more unforgettable live experiences—and in doing so, create jobs, revive cities, and lift up the communities we touch,” adds Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino. “As an American company, we drive impact here at home while also helping elevate and export the very best of what this nation represents—freedom, creativity, grit, and boundless possibility.” – Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino.
This landmark initiative aims to revitalize America’s live EDM music ecosystem, drive economic growth, and celebrate the cultural heartbeat of communities nationwide.
Live Nation venues have hired 37,000 U.S. workers this year to further expand fan access to the magic of live music. The company is also continuing its efforts to provide over one million tickets to summer shows across the nation for just $30. Live Nation says its portfolio of 150 premier venues in the United States represents roughly 4% of all music venues nationwide.
Key Highlights of the Investment:
- Venue Upgrades: Over $800 million will be allocated to modernize sound systems, improve seating, and enhance accessibility for fans with disabilities. Venues will feature advanced LED displays, immersive audio technologies, and contactless entry systems to elevate the concert-going experience.
- New Venue Development: $400 million is earmarked for constructing 10 new mid-sized venues in underserved markets, such as Boise, Idaho, and Raleigh, North Carolina, to bring world-class entertainment to more communities.
- Sustainability Initiatives: $200 million will support eco-friendly upgrades, including solar panel installations, zero-waste programs, and partnerships with local organizations to reduce the carbon footprint of live events.
- Community Impact: The initiative is projected to create 12,000 jobs, from construction to event staff, and generate $3 billion in economic activity over the next five years, according to a study by the National Association of Music Venues.
- Artist Support: A new $100 million fund will provide grants to emerging artists, ensuring diverse voices have access to Live Nation stages and resources to grow their careers.
